A short journey further brings you to the hidden hot spring village of Kurokawa Onsen,
where you can enjoy exploring a variety of baths.

Great Nature

Near hanagocoro, vast fields of silver grass stretch across the landscape.
Thanks to the clear air, the contrast between sunlight and nature appears especially vivid.

Meoto Falls

Located at the confluence of the Oda River and the Tanohara River,
Meoto Falls consists of two waterfalls—Onna-daki and Otoko-daki—flowing side by side.
Known as a waterfall of good fortune for relationships, it attracts many visitors seeking blessings.

Roadside Station “Oguni Yu Station”

This roadside station in Oguni Town features a striking design with full mirrored glass,
constructed using Japan’s first wooden three-dimensional truss method.
A symbol of the town, it offers local specialties and souvenirs,
and the second-floor gallery showcases works by local residents that change with the seasons.

Kurokawa Onsen Village

Until around the year 2000, Kurokawa Onsen was so secluded
that its name did not even appear on a local prefectural map.
As the “open-air bath hopping” pass gradually gained recognition,
it became known nationwide as a renowned hot spring destination.
Surrounded by lush mountains, spending a day visiting the roughly 30 ryokan in the area is highly recommended.
